Fall 2024 Class Descriptions and Registration

All classes led by a NYS certified special education teacher
Less than 8 students in each class

*Classes can be covered by OPWDD Self Direction Budget*

NEW BILLING/TUITION PLAN

Classes individual is registered for: 1 // $525 (billed as $175/month)
Classes individual is registered for: 2 // $975 (billed as $325/month)
Classes individual is registered for: 3 // $1,350 (billed as $450/month)
Tuition will be split into 3 payments, and will be sent out on the last day of each month in the
term.
Please be aware the tuition fee is not pro-rated due to absences or the number of classes
in the month.

Invoices will still be sent directly to self direction agencies if applicable.

NEW NO SHOW/DROP CLASS POLICY:
If students register for classes and then do not show up without an email from parents/guardians for more than 50% of classes, they will be dropped from the class and a $200 drop class fee will be charged to the families. If your child needs to drop a class please email us to avoid the fee.

Cooking Group:
We will focus on social skills while using common kitchen appliances (microwave, toaster, griddle, instapot, air fryer, stove top etc.) to make a healthy meal! If your child loves to be in the kitchen, this is for them! Please make note of any allergies in the comment section. Led by owner, Emily Carpenter or teacher Josh Miles.
Ages 6-9: Thursdays 4:00pm-5:00pm
FULL!! Ages 10-14: Thursdays 5:15pm-6:15pm
Ages 15+ (adults): Wednesdays 6:30-7:30 (led by Josh Miles)

Healthy Bodies Class (Work Out Edition!)
This class will cover how we can best take care of ourselves - our body and our mind! We will be working out each class using different exercises (cardio, HIIT, weight lifting, and more!). Led by Josh Miles. Please bring a water bottle and sneakers!
Ages 13+: Wednesdays 5:15-6:15

Music & Movement Class:
This class provides a safe and fun place to let out energy, learn about rhythm and beats, dance to music and let their creative sides flow! Each class will have a different theme. Led by owner, Emily Carpenter.
FULL Ages 8-13: Tuesdays 5:15-6:15

Art, Photography, & Music Exploration Class:
This class provides a space for participants to explore different types of art & music! We will have 4 units during the term and will cover the following for a couple of classes each: painting, photography, poetry/singing, & multimedia art. Taught by Emily Carpenter.
Each student will be loaned a camera for the duration of the photography unit, and expected to return it at the end of unit.
FULL Ages 12+: Tuesdays 6:30-7:30

Social Skills - Building Healthy Relationships at Work: ElevatUs Curriculum
Using the curriculum, Building Healthy Relationships at Work, by ElevatUs Training, this class will help teach participants how to navigate all types of relationships, including co-worker relationships, customer relationships and supervisor relationships.
